Wizard® Plus Maxipreps DNA Purification System

The Wizard® Plus Maxipreps DNA Purification System provides a rapid resin-based batch column method for purification of plasmid DNA that eliminates the need for cesium chloride:ethidium bromide gradient centrifugation. Use of this system requires only a centrifuge, a vacuum source and a vacuum manifold. This system typically yields up to 500μg of high-copy-number plasmid DNA (200–20,000bp) from a 100–500ml culture in less than three hours. The purified DNA is eluted in Nuclease-Free Water (Cat.# P1193) and can be used directly for DNA sequencing and restriction digestion without further manipulation. The DNA also can be used for in vitro transcription reactions supplemented with a ribonuclease inhibitor such as Recombinant RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor (Cat.# N2511).
