Fluorometers are routinely used in molecular and cell biology laboratories to detect and quantify fluorescent light signals emitted at different wavelengths. Fluorescent compounds emit light of a particular wavelength upon stimulation or excitation. Appropriate filtering by fluorescence instrumentation allows detection of fluorescent signals of different emission wavelengths. Fluorometers with advanced detection capabilities also detect signals from fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET) experiments. 

The Quantus™ Fluorometer is a dual-channel fluorometer for personal quantitation workflows. Designed to provide highly sensitive fluorescence detection when quantifying nucleic acids and proteins, the compact instrument is simple to operate. The Quantus™ Fluorometer is optimized with preprogrammed settings for Promega QuantiFluor® nucleic acid quantitation dyes, and allows users the flexibility to create their own methods and quantitation settings for other dyes within the proper excitation and emission wavelengths.

GloMax® Discover is a ready-to-use multimode plate reader developed with Promega reagent chemistries to provide a simple means of detecting luminescence, fluorescence and absorbance. This advanced plate reader provides flexible use of filters and includes high-performance luminescence, fluorescence, UV-Visible absorbance, BRET and FRET, two-color filtered luminescence and kinetic measurement capabilities. GloMax® Discover can be used as a standalone plate reader or integrated into high-throughput automated workflows. Results are easy to interpret using integrated data analysis software.
