Terminal deoxynucleotidyl TransferaseはDNAの3′-末端OH基への連続するdNTPの付加反応を触媒し、それにともない無機リン酸を放出します。この反応によりユニークなDNA3'-エンドラベリングが行えます。重合反応は鋳型に依存しませんが、イニシエーターとしては1本鎖DNAが好適です。2本鎖DNAイニシエーターの中で3'-突出末端を持つDNAが最も効率良くテーリングされます。本酵素は43kDaの単一タンパク質として90%以上の純度を示します。
- 5X Reaction Bufferを添付： 500mM cacodylate buffer (pH6.8at25℃),5mM CoCl2,0.5mM DTT
- 3'末端テーリング： Reaction bufferに1mM Co2+(CoCl2として)が含まれるため、あらゆる3’-末端（3’または5’突出末端、平滑末端）への付加反応が可能
