High-Throughput Sample Processing in a Single Device
Slicprep™ 96 Deviceはディープウェルに重ねたバスケット内で採取用支持体（FTA®カードや口腔スワブ）に付着した サンプルを溶液とともにインキュベーションすることができるプラスチックデバイスです。インキュベーション後、U字型のカラーをディープウェルとバスケットの間に挟みこむことで、バスケットとディープウェルとの間に0.5ml分のスペースが新たに確保されます（右下図参照）。これにより、新たにチューブやプレートを用いずに採取用支持体と溶出液を分離することができます。バスケットの底部には1mmの穴が複数開いており、液体がバスケット内外へスムーズに流れます。このデバイスはポリプロピレン製で、生体サンプルがプラスチック表面に吸着するのを防ぎ、強度に優れ、幅広い温度変化にも安定です。各パーツはHEPAでフィルタリングされたクリーンルームで製造/組立てが行われており、DNAの混入が極力抑えれるよう配慮されています。Slicprep™ 96 Deviceは3つのパーツ（96 Spin Basket、96 Deep Well Plate、U-Shaped Collar［遠心時にバスケットを引き上げるために使用］）で構成されており、1つの包装にこれらが10セット含まれています。
