PowerPlex® Y23 Systemは23ローカス、5色の Y-STR マルチプレックスシステムで法医学的ケースワークサンプル、データベースサンプルおよび親子鑑定サンプルの遺伝子タイピング用にデザインされています。キットには従来品のPowerPlex® Y Systemに含まれる12ローカスに加えてAmpFlSTR® Y-filer®に含まれる5ローカス、さらに新しい6ローカスを加えています。
PowerPlex® Y23 Systemは少量の鋳型や男性および女性の混合DNAなどの抽出DNAサンプルを用いた分析に使用できます。
PowerPlex® Y23 Systemはダイレクト増幅に適応しY-STRデータベース構築作業をより効率化することができます。
FTA® カードパンチや前処理済のスワブ、 Bode Buccal DNA Collector™パンチ、S&S 903パンチなど様々なサンプルタイプより増幅を行うことができます。

Amplify Only Male DNA

The PowerPlex® Y23 System can successfully amplify trace amounts of male DNA, even in the presence of overabundant amounts of female DNA.

Amplification of decreasing amounts of male DNA in the presence of 1µg of female DNA with two Y-STR kits: PowerPlex® Y23 System and Yfiler® Plus PCR Amplification Kit. Amplified products were separated on an Applied Biosystems® 3500xL Genetic Analyzer (1.2kV, 24-second injection).

Obtain Full Profiles from the Most Challenging Samples

The PowerPlex® Y23 System is a robust multiplex that is tolerant of many amplification inhibitors, including hematin, tannic acid and humic acid. The robust performance of the kit results in more interpretable data and less need for re-amplification of inhibitor-laden samples.

Amplification of 500pg of male DNA (PowerPlex® Y23 System) or 1.0ng of male DNA (Yfiler® Plus PCR Amplification Kit) in the presence of increasing amounts of common inhibitors. DNA was amplified for 30 cycles, and amplified products were separated on an Applied Biosystems® 3500xL Genetic Analyzer (1.2kV, 24-second injection).

Streamline Workflows with Direct Amplification

The PowerPlex® Y23 System also is compatible with direct amplification, enabling streamlined Y-STR databasing efforts. Amplification can be successfully performed with sample types such as FTA® card punches as well as pretreated swabs, Bode Buccal DNA Collector™ punches or S&S 903 punches. Faster cycling conditions cut amplification time almost in half. Moreover, reduced sample-processing time and faster cycling conditions provide a significant time savings in every run.

Buccal Sample with PunchSolution™ Reagent

Amplification of one 1.2mm Bode Buccal DNA Collector™ punch preprocessed with the PunchSolution™ Reagent using 26 cycles and the PowerPlex® Y23 System. Amplified products were separated on an Applied Biosystems® 3130xl Genetic Analyzer (3kV, 5-second injection).

Rapid Processing Solutions for PowerPlex® Systems

The 5X AmpSolution™ Reagent, SwabSolution™ Kit and PunchSolution™ Kit allow fast and simple processing of swabs and punches for analysis with various PowerPlex® Systems, including the PowerPlex® Fusion, 21, 18D, 16 HS, ESX, ESI, CS7 and Y23 Systems. These products are intended for preparation of single-source reference, database and paternity samples where sample purification is unnecessary.
