6×5 LC-MS/MS Peptide Reference Mixは液体クロマトグラフィー（LC）と質量分析装置（MS）のパフォーマンスのモニタリングと、手法の開発や最適化に役立つようデザインされた試薬です。この製品は同じペプチド配列のアイソトポローグ5種類×6セットからなる30種のペプチドの混合物です。アイソトポローグは配列中に組み込まれた安定重同位体標識アミノ酸の数のみが異なります。標識は13Cと15N原子からなります。各アイソトポローグはクロマトグラフィーで分離できませんが、質量が異なるため、質量析装置では明瞭に分離されます。各ペプチドのアイソトポローグは10倍段階希釈されています。このフォーマットにより1回のランで機器のダイナミックレンジや感度の評価が可能となります。
幅広い疎水性ペプチドはLCカラムのパフォーマンスをレポートできると同時に最大限安定であるものを選択しています。また、翻訳後修飾を受けやすいアミノ酸（メチオニン、アスパラギンなど）は配列から除外されています。さらに、内部にリジンやアルギニンは含まれず、トリプシンやLys-Cによる影響を受けません。さらにアイソトポローグ間の質量は少なくとも4ダルトンの間隔があるため、低分解能の機器であっても質量を区別することが可能です。
PReMiS Software Tool
6×5 LC-MSMS Peptide Reference Mixに付属するPReMiS Software tool（ダウンロードにて入手していただけます）は、液体クロマトグラフィーと質量分析の重要なパラメーターについてレポートします。
